Jason Kidd Pleads Guilty In DWI Case

On Tuesday morning, former NBA star and Brooklyn Nets coach, Jason Kidd, plead guilty to driving while under the influence.

Kidd was driving his Cadillac SUV in Long Island a year ago when he smashed into a utility pole after leaving a charity function.

Lucky for Kidd, he won’t be spending time behind bars. The judge placed Jason on interim probation, plus, Jason has agreed to talk to High School kids in Long Island about the dangers of drunk driving.

“Because of his status as a professional athlete Mr. Kidd is the perfect person to reinforce the important message we’ve been trying to send, which is don’t drink and drive,” Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said in a statement.
