Ronald Isley is back.
After spending nearly three years in federal prison for tax evasion, Ron Isley is speaking out about his time behind bars. HipHollywood caught up with the Isley brother who dished on his time away.
“I went in as a King, everybody there treated me like a King. I sang for the guys, I met some of my best friends that are in there,” Ron explained.
“I did shows for them there. I did some of the best shows in my career, I just couldn’t film them. People crying, while singing them songs. I can’t even explain how good it was and how great it was for them, and the appreciation,” the singer shared. “I sang for them at the chapel every week that I was there,” he added.
The singer also dished on what fans can expect from his new album This Song Is For You. “My record is gonna sound like it did … Ain’t no dips and daps … It’s gonna be right on,” the singer explained.
“There’s another song in there that sounds like in ‘Between the Sheets’. There’s a song in there that sounds like the Mr. Biggs thing, and we talk about Mr.Biggs,” Isley shared.
