Exclusive: Jordin Sparks Dishes On Matching Tattoo With Jason Derulo + Dream Proposal

Published

on

HipHollywood first broke the news that Jordin Sparks and Jason Derülo have matching tattoos. During a sit down interview with Jason a few months back, the singer exclusively told HH about the matching ink. “We both have “yesterday.” More than yesterday, I love you more than yesterday,” Jason shared.

So what is Sparks’ interpretation of the tattoos? During Debra Lee’s PRE BET Awards dinner, HH caught up with the 23-year-old to get her reaction on she and her man’s body ink. “Mine is actually right here (as she points down to right hip). We got them in different spots. It’s the more than symbol, but yesterday is in front of it. I love you more than yesterday, but it also means I’m greater than my yesterdays, I’m better than I was yesterday, and I can always be better than yesterday,” she dished.

Jordin and Jason started dating back in 2012, and already, the pair are talking about possible engagement. While on the carpet, Jordin also dished on what her ideal proposal would be like. “I’ve never been the girl who like dreamt of that, or the dresses and all of that stuff. But I know he probably wants to make it a big surprise,” the singer told HH.

“I’m not really good with surprises though … I would like it to be genuine. I don’t want him  to be scared, I want him to be ready,” Sparks admitted.

You can’t F with her if you wanted to…

Carbi B. scored a major hit with her single “Bodak Yellow”. And after a viral campaign calling for fans to make Cardi #1, it happened. The reality star turned rapper just dethroned Taylor Swift for the number one position on the Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard:

Cardi B is only the fifth female rapper ever to lead the Hot 100 at all. After (Lauryn) Hill (with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998), Lil’ Kim ruled for five weeks in 2001 with Christina Aguilera, Mya and P!nk on “Lady Marmalade”; Shawnna reigned as featured on Ludacris’ “Stand Up,” which topped the Dec. 6, 2003, chart; and Iggy Azalea‘s introductory Hot 100 hit, “Fancy,” featuring Charli XCX, led for seven weeks in 2014.

Cardi B is also the first female soloist to top the Hot 100 with a debut track unaccompanied by another artist since Meghan Trainor, whose “All About That Bass” led for eight weeks beginning Sept. 20, 2014.

Let’s all clap for Cardi!
