Eddie Griffin Faces Lawsuit After ‘Homophobic’ Comments
Eddie Griffin is being sued after a woman claims he sexually assaulted her.
During one of the comedian’s shows last July, Griffin targeted a woman and her girlfriend and began to make comments about their relationship.
“You’re a LESBIAN. All you need is a good man … I’ll volunteer my services. You won’t be needing any strap-on’s or vibrators with me,” Griffin reportedly told the couple during his show at Tommy T’s in Pleasanton, Ca.
Leslie Champlin, who filed the lawsuit, claims that Griffin started to put his crotch in her face, and that’s when Champlin’s partner threw her drink at him. But Griffin wouldn’t let it go. He took it a step further and poured water on her head and then threw the bottle at her.
Champlin and her girlfriend were kicked out of the club, and never received an apology from the club or the Griffin.
She is now suing for civil rights violations, battery and negligence, and demanding unspecified damages.
HH reached out to Eddie’s camp, but no word back.
