HipHollywood was on the pink carpet for The Ladylike Foundation’s Fifth Annual “Women of Excellence Awards” over the weekend where Cookie Johnson, Shaun Robinson, and Wendy Raquel Robinson were just three of several women honored for their work in the community.
“To be honored for my work that I do on TV and off camera also, and to be here with women who represent positive images of black women is very important to me,” the Access Hollywood host shared.
“If we don’t invest in our future which is actually tomorrow, these young ladies can go in so many different directions right now … if we don’t take the time, to make the time, to invest in our future, there’s no telling what’s going to happen,” Wendy shared when asked what it means to give back.
The Ladylike Foundation is a faith-based organization that uplifts women, teaching etiquette, and how to be beautiful inside. And when it comes to inner beauty, these women have it locked in.
“When you have a big heart, and you give back, and you listen, and you’re a good friend, and you’re selfless … all that means inner beauty,” Holly Robinson Peete, the afternoon’s emcee shared.
