DJ Mister Cee Under Fire For Summer Jam XX Tribute

Hot 97’s DJ Mister Cee is under fire after botching a tribute to Oklahoma tornado victims over the weekend. While spinning at Hot 97’s Summer Jam XX on Sunday night, Mister Cee had the genius idea of playing “RIP” by Young Jeezy to pay tribute to the folks.

“RIP We just killed the club, drink patron out the bottle almost killed a thug / When I’m so high, I can’t feel the drugs / Too many haters in here, I don’t feel the love.” Not exactly the lyrics that come to mind when you think of paying tribute to the dead, and plenty of people let him DJ Mister Cee know their opinion on his song selection.

“No seriously, why would Mister Cee play this song for the memories of those lost?” one Twitter user asked.

“Mister Cee plays Young Jeezy’s RIP after a moment of silence for the people of Moore, OK. Talk about a horrible segue,” another user wrote.

HipHollywood has reached out to Hot 97 for comment, but nothing thus far.

Chris Graham Reveals Best Advice Cousin Drake Has Given Him

There’s a new member to the OVO Sound family. Drake’s Toronto-based label is expanding it’s roster, and this time the new addition is actually family.

Drizzy has signed his first cousin Christopher “Royalty” Graham to OVO.

If you couldn’t tell from the last name, the Memphis-bred rapper is actually blood-related. His father and Drake’s dad, Dennis Graham, are brothers, and it’s safe to say music definitely runs through their genes.

We caught up with the new signee, who now just goes by the stage name Chris Graham, at the 2017 American Music Award’s about his upcoming project, who’s a better singer him or Drake, and the best advice his big cousin has given him.
