The actor and political activist picketed with members of the National Untion of Metalworkers of South Africa, in efforts to raise awareness about the reported abuses of civil rights at Nissan’s Mississippi plant. According to Glover, the workers at the plant not only work under harsh conditions, but are unable to join a union.
