Chris Brown Charged with Hit-And-Run
Chris Brown has been officially charged with criminal hit-and-run.
Last month Brown was involved in a minor accident in Los Angeles, where he rear-ended a Mercedes and allegedly failed to give the driver the proper information information before leaving the scene.
The L.A. City Attorney has now filed two criminal charges against Brown. The first being a hit-and-run for leaving the scene without giving the proper information, and the second being driving without a valid license. Each crime is punishable for a maximum sentence of six months in jail.
The charges could also mean a possible probation violation for Brown, stemming from the Rihanna beating case back in 2009. They are reportedly being referred to the L.A. County D.A for further investigation.
Chris Brown took to Twitter Tuesday to respond to the charges, saying…
“@ChrisBrown It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous”
He claims the woman “saw the cameras and wanted to make a scene” and that she “contacted police the cops thinking of a payday.”
Brown also changed the profile picture on his Twitter to one of the car, with what looks like… no damage.
