Rob Kardashian who was recently charged with battery and petty theft for allegedly attacking a photographer and stealing her camera equipment, spent his first day in court on Wednesday.

Photographer, Andra, Viak, filed a civil lawsuit last month, claiming that the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star assaulted her after she snapped a picture of Rob shirtless outside a Beverly Hills gym. Viak also claims that the reality star stole the camera card out of her camera. According to reports, Andra claims she was struck in the face and suffered confusions on her arm and chest.

Kardashian, who has hired well acclaimed lawyer Robert Shapiro, entered a “not guilty” plea in court. According to E! Online, Judge Marsha Revel permitted Kardashian to remain free on his own recognizance over the prosecutor’s objections. The DA also asked that bail be set at $21,000.

HipHollywood reached out to both Viak and Kardashian’s camp, and are awaiting a response.

Rob is scheduled to be back in court for pretrial on May 29th in Beverly Hills.
