Matt Kemp is more than just a terrific baseball player, the Dodgers outfielder also has a huge heart. Kemp made a kind gesture during Sunday night’s game that was caught on camera, and now, the video has gone viral.

After Sunday night’s loss against the San Francisco Giants, Kemp autographed a ball, and gave it to a terminally ill teen, Joshua Jones. But it didn’t stop there. Kemp proceeded to give the young boy his hat, his jersey, and finally, Kemp reached down, and took off his cleats, and gave them to the 19-year-old.

Joshua and his father sat front row at AT&T Park for a father, son outing, and during the game, the boy’s father told the Dodger’s third base coach, Tim Wallach, about his son’s illness. Jones is suffering from inoperable tumors in his spine and has been given 90 days to live. Wallach later told Kemp about the young boy.

In a pre-game interview before Tuesday’s game against the Diamondbacks, Kemp told reporters he still didn’t even know the kids name and still had not seen the video. “I didn’t plan on taking the jersey off, but it’s something I felt would probably cheer him up a little bit … and that was my first time taking my shoes off in front of the fans,” Kemp shared.

Check out the video of Kemps’ gesture that has gone viral below.
