Protest Forms In Front Of Reebok Store, Chants “Drop Rick Ross”

He may have tweeted a half-hearted apology this morning, but we bet Rick Ross really regrets his insensitive rap lyrics now.

Last March, Ross signed an endorsement deal with Reebok, now just barely a year later a petition has been signed asking the mega-retailer to drop the rapper.

More than 100 members from women’s groups, UltraViolet and NOW NYC, crashed Reebok’s flagship store in New York City and delivered 72,000 signatures asking the sneaker giant to “Drop Rick Ross!”

“It’s time for Reebok to stop using their brand as a platform to promote rape and the idea that rape is not just okay, but cool. Contrary to Ross’ claims, there was no misinterpretation here: Slipping a woman a drug and ‘enjoying that’ is rape, plain and simple.” said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet. “It’s time for Reebok to answer the 72,000 customers who want them to stop promoting violence against women and fire Rick Ross.”

In case you missed it, Ricky Rozay raps “Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that. She ain’t even know it” in the song “U.N.E.N.O.”.

HipHollywood reached out to Reebok and they told us they have “no comment” at this time. UltraViolet says they will “announce further escalation of the campaign Monday if the company continues to use their brand to promote rape.”

Tamar Braxton Fires Stylist Over $40 Outfit

Ya’ll already know Tamar Braxton is not the one to try. But her stylist must not have gotten the memo. Apparently he thought it was ok to belittle her for wearing a jumper from Forever 21 during a recent interview and she had to hand him his walking papers.

Braxton let her fans know what went down via her Instagram account and also encouraged women to be confident in whatever they wear.

“The stylist today tried to make me feel “less than” because he didn’t agree that I should wear @forever21..well.. I FIRED him because NO ONE should make you feel “less than” because you have on a $40 outfit!!,” she wrote.

“You are AMAZING and don’t let ANYONE bully you into spending what you have.. or NOT..,” she added. “It doesn’t make you ANY LESS FABULOUS!! You make the clothes!! Your SPIRIT makes you!! EMBRACE YOU!! YOU ARE PERFECT!! NO MATTER WHAT!!

Braxton rocked the City of Angels Camo jumpsuit and a pair of suede Christian Louboutin booties while appearing on Essence Live to promote her new (and final) studio album “Blue Bird Of Happiness”.

Honestly we liked the look and that she mixed high and low end labels so effortlessly. But thats just our two cents.
