Katt Williams Escapes Jail Time After Evading Police
Katt Williams has escaped jail time after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge of evading police.
The Scary Movie 5 star was in court on Thursday where he was sentenced to 428 hours of community service.
The troubled comedian was busted back in November 2012 arrest after leading California Highway Patrol officers on a low-speed chase on a three-wheel motorcycle. Williams was charged with police evasion and reckless driving at the time.
Katt has nine months to complete the community service.
“We are pleased that he will not be incarcerated and Mr. Williams looks forward to working with the community,” his attorney, Richard Schonfeld, told E! News in a statement.
