EXCLUSIVE: DMX Talks Drug Use & Recovery

Published

on

DMX’s explosive sit down on Iyanla: Fix My Life aired Sunday night on OWN and ended with the rapper telling Iyanla “f*ck you” and storming out of a counseling session with her. Luckily, when we sat down with X, he was much more receptive to our questions about his drug use and road to recovery.

“I look forward to becoming a better person, you know, looking more at my faults”, the rapper told HipHollywood.

While sitting with Iyanla and his son, Xavier, things came to a head when X refused to have a relationship with his son that included “conditions”. Take a look below…

And while it may appear that the rapper has lost all hope, X told HH in August that his motivations for staying clean were, “My children, myself…the fact that I am just now starting to recognize the blessings God has for me.”

The Ruff Ryder also gave us some insight into how he handles trying to stay clean. “I look forward to making progress on a daily basis in everything, in every aspect of my life.”

Check out the full interview below.
