On Friday afternoon, Ray J took to Twitter to unveil the cover art for his latest song, “I Hit It First”.
There’s already speculation that the song is about Ray’s former girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. The reality TV beauty gained notoriety after her infamous sex tape with Ray J was leaked back in 2007, turning her misfortune into a multi-million dollar fortune.
“Check out my new single cover, ‘I Hit It First,’ available on iTunes on 4/9. ‘I put her on,'” Ray J captioned the picture on the social media website.
On the track, Ray sings:
“She might move on to rappers and ballplayers
But we all know I hit it first.
I had her head going North and her ass going South
But now baby chose to go West
No matter where she goes or who she knows
She still belongs in my bed.”
Kim and Ray J’s relationship ended over six years ago, so if the song is truly about Kim, well … it looks like Ray isn’t exactly over it.
There was also a song released on YouTube Friday afternoon that appeared to be a leak of Ray J’s new single, but it’s a fake. The singer’s song won’t hit iTunes until next week.
In a 2008 interview with HipHollywood’s Kevin Frazier, Ray J spoke candidly about he and Kim’s sex tape.
