The Cast Of BET’s ‘The Game’ Talks Season 6

Published

on

BET’s The Game is back for another season of drama, love, comedy and new faces. HipHollywood caught up with the cast to talk about what fans can expect this season.

HipHollywood first broke the news that Tia Mowry would not be returning to the show, along with Pooch Hall. Hall will appear in the first episode, but does not have a recurring role on Season 6 … still, the show must go on.

Joining the cast this season is Lauren London and Jay Ellis. Lauren plays a former child star trying to discover herself. The actress tells HH that the crew welcomed her with open arms when she arrived on set. “It was like being the new girl in school, but everyone was welcoming and warm.”

Jay Ellis, a.k.a Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbrook, plays the new running back on the San Diego Sabers, and Ellis couldn’t be more pleased. “I feel like I won the lottery. Getting to walk in and play this guy week after week has been a really amazing thing,” Ellis explained.

As for some of your other favorite characters … “Tasha goes on a ride. It’s self discovery, it’s painful, it’s funny, sexy, it’s steamy, it’s a journey,” Wendy Raquel Robinson told HH about her character’s role on the show.

And Chardonnay, played by Brandy, is back and more fierce that ever as the wife of Jason Pitts. “Chardonnay is everything, free, sassy, loving this new life with Jason. She is adjusting to this new life of being a football players wife,” Brandy raved.

Check out what else the cast had to say about season six of The Game:

Although I’m bummed to see Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall leave the show, I’m glad that Lauren London and Ray Ellis will be playing the new roles. I’m always at work at DISH when this is on so I record it on my DVR. My roommates and I like to set up our DISH Hopper to record up to six programs at once, during primetime. With this, we never worry about arguing over what to record.

The “Boo” is back!

In Boo 2: A Madea Halloween, Tyler Perry’s character Brian is a bit of a dorky dad … but in real life, Perry says he lays down the law when it comes to his own son, 3 1/2 year-old Aman.

HH caught up with Tyler during the press rounds for Boo 2 and the multi-facted mogul gave us some insight on how and why he would be quick to transform into a James Evans (from Good Times) kind of dad.
