Kardashian Sisters May Sue Ford Over Offensive Ad
It may be time for Ford to put their money where their mouth is.
The automotive company fell into some hot water over an offensive ad for their Ford Figo “Leave Your Worries Behind” campaign – which featured a illustrated drawing of Paris Hilton driving a Figo …with Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian bound and gagged in the trunk.
Ford claimed that the “unofficial”ad was done by an advertising team in India, and never meant to be released to the public (it advertises a vehicle that’s not even available to U.S.). However, the ad still leaked onto the internet (along with several other equally offensive ads featuring different people).
In response to public outrage, Ford issued this apology:
“We deeply regret this incident and agree with our agency partners that it should have never happened. The posters are contrary to the standards of professionalism and decency within Ford and our agency partners. Together with our partners, we are reviewing approval and oversight processes to help ensure nothing like this ever happens again.”
However, the Kardashians are not accepting the apology. In response to Ford’s statement, their family lawyer exclusively told omg! Insider:
“The ‘leave your worries behind’ Ford ads are disgusting, vile and offensive to all women. It is unacceptable that Ford would align itself with an ad agency that would so carelessly release these ads.”
The Kardashian family lawyer added that the Kardashian sisters “do not take this lightly and are [currently] exploring all of their legal options.”
