J. Lo Loses A Job Due To Diva Demands

Published

on

Sometimes being a diva isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.  Jennifer Lopez learned this the hard way when she reportedly lost a booked gig in India due to her excessive diva demands.

According to Page Six,  Lopez was supposed to perform in front of 60 million viewers at the opening ceremony of India’s Premier League cricket tournament.  However, the deal fell through when the famously high-maintenance pop star had requested a private plane for her use, and well as multiple additional hotel rooms for her enormous entourage of stylists, assistants and a personal chef. (Lopez’ traveling entourage has included as many as 90 people at once.)

IPL officials refused to cater to her demands, and decided to book Pitbull instead, along with some other Bollywood stars.

As one source commented:

“The demands made on behalf of Jennifer were outrageous.  She effectively priced herself out of the event. It was an idiotic move because the audience for this event is huge.  It’s like the Super Bowl halftime show.  Last year it drew 56 million viewers.”

Score for Pitbull!

A rep for Lopez is disputing those reports however, claiming that the reason why the gig fell through is because Lopez is “busy.”   The rep said, “An offer was made to perform; the date conflicted with Jennifer’s current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer.”

Was Lopez too busy or too diva to perform at India’s cricket tournament?  You be the judge and let us know your thoughts below!
