Alicia Dishes on 'The Black Ball'

Amidst the drama surrounding A. Keys and Swizz Beats, the singer is moving forward with some exciting news. Keys is co-founder and global ambassador for Keep A Child Alive, a non-profit organization that provides HIV/AIDS medicine and she dished to BET about their annual fundraiser:

“The Black Ball is one of the most special nights of my life,” Alicia told BET.com in an exclusive interview from the set of "Doesn’t Mean Anything." “What it allows me to do is have an event for my fundraiser, Keep A Child Alive, and we’re able to invite some of the most eclectic people in one room. You can’t believe who’s in this room.”

Keys has assembled an impressive lineup for the event, which will take place at Manhattan’s esteemed Hammerstein Ballroom on October 15. “This year we have John Mayer, Chris Martin from Coldplay and myself all touching the stage together,” she reveals. “Then we have Queen Latifah hosting, Bill Clinton is being honored. It’s just a very diverse group of people.”

Looks like it's going to be a fantastic event. In other news, she and Jay Z are set to start shooting the video for 'Empire State of Mind,' later this week. Can't wait to see that video!
