Chris Rock Starring in 'My Black Friend'

Chris Rock has signed on to be in the new film Will You Be My Black Friend?, which is being developed by Oprah Winfrey's Harpo studios along with Lionsgate.

"The project stems from a November GQ magazine article written by senior correspondent Devin Friedman, who began a self-conscious search for black friends on Craigslist. The white, married Manhattan journalist then pursued his quixotic quest to expand his social circle, with unexpected results."

"This is a story that takes on themes of race and friendship in a very modern and unexpected way," said Harpo executive Kate Forte. - Reuters

Chris Rock is the perfect person to take on a film like this.
