"Precious" on Primetime TV

Just 2 weeks before the Academy Awards, the TV Guide Network will air an exclusive one-hour special on the six-time Oscar nominated film "Precious: Based on the novel "Push" by Sapphire".  The special will document the films journey from novel to movie and will also include never-before-scene film footage, exclusive interviews with director, Lee Daniels, and cast members and even reactions from movie-goers who have been touched by the film.  "Precious: The Story Behind The Movie" premieres Saturday, February 20th at 8pm et/pt.

Faith Gets Followed...

But its for a good reason.  Fans of Faith Evans will get to see every step of her return to music as cameras follow her for a new reality show titled "It's All About Faith".  Along with documenting her career, the reality show will take a look at her family life with husband/manager, Todd Russaw, and their four children.  You can look for her 6th album to hit stores later this year.  It's been 5 years and I'm happy to see her back!

Dr. Conrad Murray Charged With Manslaughter in Jackson Death + Update

HipHollywood has learned that the Los Angeles District Attorney's office has confirmed that Dr. Conrad Robert Murray has been  charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with Michael Jackson's death. The reports reads: The count alleged that Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson…in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

If convicted, Dr. Murray faces up to a maximum of four year under a state prison term. We'll keep you posted...

Update: After todays trial,  the Jackson family has stated that they are not pleased with the bail amount set for Dr. Conrad Murray. As of right now his bail is $75,000. The next trial in the case is set for April 5th in Los Angeles. The judge has also ordered Dr. Murray to discontinue the use of the Propofol or anything like it.

Drake Takes His Show On The Road

WOW...this dude definitely shows no signs of slowing.  Drizzy Drake has announced that he's heading out on tour.  The "Away From Home Tour" will be the rappers first North America solo tour.  He will hit 25 cities between April 5th and May 8th 2010.  But this is more than just your average tour, Drake has teamed up with Reverb to make it eco-friendly.  During his stops he will also be apart of the 5th annual "Campus Consciousness" tour, which will stop at more than 15 colleges & Universities, to highlight eco-friendly living.  Check the flipside for dates & cities...

WHO DAT! N.O. Celebrates Saint's 'Super' Triumph

The Saints brought a victory home to New Orleans last night as they defeated the Colts 31 - 17. As millions of fans cheered around the nation, the joyous screams of New Orleans weren't just for the win, but for what the win means for the city of New Orleans. Gaining nothing but negative attention since the impact of Hurricane Katrina, the Saint's win is definitely a silver lining amidst the dark cloud that has enveloped the city.

Here's a great description by the Times Online of the New Orleans celebration. "White fireworks burst in the distance. Strangers hugged, whooped and yelled in the streets, waving flags, shaking cowbells and dancing to spontaneous brass bands. College students embraced restaurant waiters. A homeless man toasted beers with tourists. Camera flashbulbs popped. Motorists honked horns with a glee usually heard only at Carnival."

Scott's Lawyer Releases Statement on Hidden Beach Lawsuit, Claims 'Misrepresentation'

Last week, we reported that Steve McKeever, CEO of Hidden Beach records, had filed a suit against Jill Scott claiming that she left before completing her contractual terms (six albums), along with some malicious descriptions of her "diva antics". As expected, Scott's lawyer has released a statement claiming that the reports are not true and Scott is well within her right to leave Hidden Beach. We knew Jill wasn't a diva!

ANOTHER MediaFakeout Fabrication!

Once again, MediaFakeout.com, the world's most inaccurate website, has posted a story that is a pure fabrication.  On the day of the Super Bowl, MFO.com posted the above video claiming that it was from Reggie Bush's 'jumpoff' giving a tour of his house.  Well, here's the REAL story.  Reggie let some of his boys crash at his house while he was out of town (remember, he spends almost half of the year in New Orleans), and one of them happened to be 'friendly' with the young lady taking the video.  While the guys were out, she stayed behind and made the video.  Here the best part - She has been trying to peddle this thing to people for a while and NOBODY bit until Super Bowl Sunday.  Good job MFO.com - ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER LIE!!!
