Seventeen people were arrested in France on Monday, January 9, in connection with the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian, including the limousine driver who drove the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star around Paris in the days before the robbery.

Says Reuters:

Many of those arrested in coordinated police raids in several different parts of France were known underworld figures aged around 50 and at least three were women, police and judicial sources said.

French radio and TV reports on Monday said DNA traces from the scene of the heist led police to the suspects and that they would be held for questioning, possibly for as much as four days.

A police source said one of those detained was Kardashian’s chauffeur when she was visiting Paris in October for Fashion Week and that police were trying to establish whether he had passed on information to the gang.

As previously reported, thieves wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings burst into the luxury property where Kardashian was sleeping in the early hours of Oct. 3. They tied her up at gunpoint before making off with her engagement ring and other jewels. They fled on bicycles with jewelry worth 9 million euros ($9.5 million).

Jean Veil, a French lawyer for Kardashian, told France 2 television: “She (Kardashian) is very happy, very satisfied and to a certain extent reassured by the efficiency of the French police.”

LingeRIH: Rihanna In Talks To Launch Her Own Line Of Intimates

Rihanna is definitely one of the sexiest chicks in the game, so it’s not surprising that she is rumored to be launching a line of lingerie. According to WWD, the pop star, who has made her presence known in the fashion and beauty world with her namesake cosmetic and apparel collections has struck a deal with Tech Style for a line of intimates.

Rihanna reportedly inked a partnership with the Fashion Group, which is already home to successful brands like Fabletics, ShoeDazzle and Just Fab. TechStyle Fashion Group’s partnership with Rihanna wouldn’t be the company’s latest celebrity team-up, as Fabletics already scored a partnership with actress Kate Hudson and singer Demi Lovato, and ShoeDazzle (co-founded by Kim Kardashian, Brian Lee and Robert Shapiro) collaborated with actress-singer Keke Palmer.

The Rihanna-helmed lingerie line hasn’t received an official release date, but samples have already been produced, according to the report. In the meantime Rih is readying the release of her FENTYxPUMA collaboration.

Just last week she announced that she’ll be merging the two brands to launch a joint collection and debuted photos of models sporting the athleisure line in the middle of a desert.

The joint collection will be available for purchase on March 15.
