The Fifty Shades saga is getting ready to go Black thanks to Marlon Wayans. The funnyman has just inked a deal with Open Road films for the spoof comedy Fifty Shades of Black based on the best selling erotica book and film, Fifty Shades of Grey released earlier this year.

“I went to see the movie and I was like there needs to be a black version of this, this is ridiculous,” Wayans told HipHollywood while attending the L.A. film premiere for Dope.

Wayans will write, produce and star in the film as you guessed it … Christian Black. But he doesn’t have a leading lady cast yet. “Let’s see who fits the handcuffs,” he joked.

Wayans has had success with his previous horror movie spoof films like Scary Movie and A Haunted House, but this time he decided to try something different.

“[Fifty Shades of Grey] was a drama, but they left so many jokes on the table, so I’m just going for what’s the funny version of that movie,” he explained.

We’ll get to see how it all turns out when Fifty Shades of Black hits theaters January 29, 2016.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
