Katt Williams Says Suge Knight Shooting Was Not Gang-Related

Katt Williams is saying that he was with Suge Knight at 1OAK nightclub the night he was shot and that many reports about the incident are overlooking/leaving out important information.

TMZ caught up with Williams and he opened up about the the former Death Row Records CEO, being shot six times at an MTV Video Music Awards pre-party in West Hollywood last weekend. According to the 40-year-old comedian, the shooting was not gang-related:

“If it was gang-related then why didn’t it happen thoroughly? You see there’s parts of this story that just don’t seem to make sense. You’re saying it was gang-related. So, that means somebody’s gang was shooting at somebody’s gang and somebody’s gang didn’t shoot back. That’s your story? That’s not really how gang stuff works, is it?”

Williams also believes that only an “idiot” would believe that Suge was the one the bullets were intended for.

“Now if you’re an idiot you can believe this was about Suge Knight … Suge Knight has been accessible every day of his life for 20 years. We know who it was aimed at. We know whose life he saved. And we know why they won’t talk about it…” There is still speculation as to who Katt Williams is referring to, the comedian did not name the intended target.

Suge is still in the hospital recovering from the wounds and Katt Williams says that Suge knows exactly who shot him. Knight’s family recently released the following statement regarding the shooting:

“The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he’s human. He’s done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.”
