Exclusive! Tahj Mowry: New Face Of Futuristic Funk, Performs Sexy Solo Showcase

We’ve been sleeping on Tahj Mowry. Who new that the actor, best known for his role on the 90’s sitcom, Smart Guy could SING! REALLY SING!

On Tuesday night, HipHollywood, along with his Tahj’s closest friends and family joined the Baby Daddy actor for an intimate solo music showcase in Hollywood. The 28-year-old, who revealed to HipHollywood that music was his first passion, performed a handful of songs that he wrote and co-produced.

“To finally be able to get to show people something that I love to do more than anything, is amazing. And with material that I wrote and helped create from scratch,” Mowry told us. “I like to call my music future funk so it’s really funky, but it has a futuristic vibe to it. Very electronic, but it’s still alternative.”

The singer’s sister, Tia Mowry-Hardrict was there in true fashion to support her brother and a proud sister she was. “I’m really happy that people can finally see another side to him that I’ve always seen and always known,” she said.

“Tahj was dancing with Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, the Oscars and Debbie Allen when he was only 5-6 years old. It just so happened that he booked Smart Guy first and people started to see him as an actor. I’m so proud of him and I’m happy to see that he’s stepping into this area of his career.

Charming, amazing vocals and incredible dance moves, the singer proved why he is a force to be reckoned with. Tahj might have been sleeping on us before but watch out, we’d say he’s about to take over.

Mowry’s single is set to drop within the next couple months with an EP to follow.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
