It was news that shook the Twitterverse, Internet sensation Antoine Dodson is expecting a baby. The 27-year-old took to Twitter to reveal that he and his boo are having their first child together, writing “I just became the happiest man alive!! My beautiful Queen and I are having a baby.”
HipHollywood exclusively spoke with the Internet star via Skype about how he found out he was going to be a father.
“We took the test, and she bammed on the wall … I knew something wasn’t right … We took another pregnancy test to make sure and she was positive. We have our first doctors appointment on Monday,” Dodson shared.
“If I have a guy kid, he’s gonna be a Jr. If I have a girl, I think we are going to have something like Honesty. My families DNA is very strong … nine times out of ten, it’s going to be a guy and looks like me,” the 27-year-old shared.
But the question we all wanted to know, who is this mystery woman? Antoine shared with HH that the woman who is having his child is a long time friend.
“She’s taken my attention away from all that other stuff I had going on. We have fun together, we love each other. I love her, and now she’s having my baby and this is my first child ever,” the star said. “I”m pretty excited about that, yet I’m still numb, I can’t believe this,” he added.
Dodson was openly gay, but renounced his homosexuality after dedicating himself to the Hebrew Israelite faith. Dodson shared that although he’s in a good place spiritually, his lifestyle change brought on major backlash.
“Everybody is turning against me. At first when I was growing up, everybody said ‘you need to read the bible, you need to know that God is against that’. And then when you actually say ‘I’ve changed and I’m on the right path, I’m straight,’ they still have a problem with it,” he shared. “You can’t make people happy, you can’t satisfy everyone. Oh well, people make their comments,” he added.
HipHollywood later asked Dodson if marriage was in the near future, well surprise, surprise, the superstar hinted that he and his queen may have already tied the knot.
“How do you know we aren’t married now,” Dodson asked HH. Antoine continued, “I don’t really want to talk about that because I don’t have her permission. Obviously you’re going to meet her one day and we are going to be able to tell you everything you need to know. But right now we kind of secretive,” Dodson explained.
Congratulations to the couple.

Exclusive: The Bullet Scars That Will Forever Haunt Sheryl Lee Ralph’s Son, Etienne Maurice
Sheryl Lee Ralph shared a graphic photo on Instagram earlier this week of her son, Etienne Maurice, laying in a hospital bed bandaged up from bullet wounds. The purpose of the image was to be yet another voice calling to end gun violence.
On Wednesday, students across the country walked out of class to protest against gun violence, something that hit home for Ralph four years ago. “This mother wants #gunreform now! #guncontrol now,” she wrote.
It was during a night out in West Philadelphia that Ralph’s then 22-year-old child was robbed at gunpoint and shot three times; twice in the leg and one which grazed his forehead.
So as Ralph joined Wednesday’s national conversation about gun laws, HipHollywood talked exclusively with Etienne who shared exactly what went down the night a gun could have taken his life for good.
“I was shot four years ago, November 9 … I was black out drunk. The next thing I know I remember I woke up in the hospital, doctor said I had two bullet holes in my leg and a grazed bullet hole above my eyebrow.”
Maurice, who was robbed for his iPhone and his wallet, went on to tell us that this is something that he is reminded of constantly. “Having been shot is something that I carry with me every day. I still have numbness at the bottom of my leg from the nerve damage.”
And while he will always remember how he felt knowing his life almost ended, Etienne had a hard time fathoming how his famous mother felt. “We had the conversation about it last week and she said she peed on herself,” he told us.
For Maurice, he’s proud to see young children use their voices to make change. “There’s so many angles where we can talk about gun violence and how it’s effecting different communities,” he said. “Gun reform needs to take place now.”
Since that night, he hasn’t picked up a drink and has been now sober for four years. As for the suspects, a father-son duo, they are behind bars for attempted man slaughter.
