Exclusive: Does Jason Derülo Ask Jordin Sparks To Marry Him In New Single?

Jason Derülo has a spontaneous side to him, and HipHollywood knows first hand.

While performing “It Girl” during the Warner Brothers Summer Sessions on Friday, Derülo brought girlfriend, Jordin Sparks on stage for the very first time and HipHollywood was there exclusively to catch it all in action.

Jason danced with his boo on stage in front of a small intimate crowd before giving her a sweet smooch in front of his number one fans. After the performance, HipHollywood caught up with Jason and Jordin backstage to talk about the moment.

“That was definitely spur of the moment, I was just in the vibe of the song, singing my heart out, the lyrics got a hold of me,” Jason dished.

Jordin added, “That’s never happened before, so that was a first … But it was nice, I love “It Girl,”and I’m always smiling from ear to ear whenever I’m watching him.”

The couple was also candid in talking about their committed relationship. Jason, whose next single is titled “Marry Me,” shared with HH that the song is about getting ready to marry the one he loves.

“‘Marry Me’ is one of those very pulling heart strings kind of record, it’s very different than the other side … Basically it’s talking about getting ready for that moment when I ask you to marry me,” Derülo dished.

Jordin, who has been dating Jason for over a year now, shared with HipHollywood her reaction to the song when she first heard it.

“I was siting there kind of frozen like ‘wow, this is a really beautiful song.’ To take in account the reality of the situation, like we’re together, and we both write based on what we are going through. It was a very special moment for me,” Jordin explained.

So will we be hearing wedding bells in the near future?

“When the time is right, absolutely. It’s all about timing, and the right time,” Jason shared.

Tattoos is set to drop September 24.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
