And after he came on as co-owner of the New Jersey Nets and was part of the movement to bring the team to his hometown of Brooklyn folks knew Shawn was not playin'!

Well, we can't blame the guy! CB's album didn't do so well and with him still trying to shake off the incident that nearly destroyed his career last year, looks like Chris is doing what he can to keep his name out there, including re-establishing himself in Twitter-ville. He also did some reading with a bunch of 3rd grades in Harlem.

La La Vazquez has received A LOT of critcism for her long engagement to Carmelo Anthony, and as she and her basketball boo have already set a date for the wedding, she addressed the "engagement" issues in the recent issue of Latina magazine. She wants folks to know that she's worked hard for everything she's achieved, and Anthony even defended his fiance and put a rest to the "he's never going to marry her" rumors.
“Even with all that I’ve accomplished on my own,” says Alani “La La” Vazquez in the April 2010 issue of Latina magazine, “I know the story out there about me: ‘[Carmelo] ain’t gonna marry her. She got that ring but now he’s making her wait. He don’t really love her…’ For once…I’d like to tell the story as it is. Not as it’s told.”

Mary J. Blige is considering releasing a memoir that would highlight her awesome story and give advice to millions of women who have struggled with similar issues.
"I think its time. I am absolutely living my dream! My dream all my life has been to help women because I'm a woman and I'm helping myself and thousands and millions of women with my story," says Blige.
Blige wants to ensure that up and coming singers can benefit from knowing her plight, and hopefully avoid some of the mistakes she's made.
"It's imperative for me to help all of the younger singers who come up behind me because I don't want anyone to suffer through what I suffered through," she explained. "I almost ended up with nothing; meaning dead, broke and whatever you want to call it. I was given this position not just for myself but to be an example to them because they are me!"
She hasn't announced a deal with a publisher yet, but we don't know anyone that would pass that up!
